Our first function at Aunt Daisy's Cafe, The Clever Crafting Project got off the ground with a lovely night of stitching, a few laughs, lots of amazing 'show and tell', and a few curious onlookers. Thanks to Siggy for a wonderful night. Next time I think we should have cheesecake. Thanks to Moana and Glenda who came from Brisbane and spent their last night with us. Also to Caroline for bringing in her new and wonderful works. To Juliette who is courageously learning to crochet in her blooming months. To little Chris who stopped by for support. To Serena who has an amazing photography exhibition at Pataka on Ta Moko, the wonderous subject of Maori facial tattoo on everyday folk. To our dear dancer in Ozzie, return soon with your new baby. To Cleo, fellow crafter extrodanaire who diligently and quietly is creating the most beautiful creations. Fantastic!

It's On!

Every 2nd Wednesday at Aunt Daisy's Cafe right here in Titahi Bay we are launching "The Clever Crafting Project" - a local designation for lovers of craft and art, making and creating. all the while soaking up the wonderful ambience and atmosphere of Aunt Daisy's Cafe situated. Starting at 7pm until late (or the staff get sick of us), we will be drinking coffee, perhaps the odd glass of wine or cold one, eating and MAKING stuff.

Do you have a quilt that is sitting there waiting to be finished? Or perhaps a jersey you have been knitting for five years and are dying to complete? How about that box of photos you want to turn into a scrapbook? Or a stitching project? Whatever your love and project, The Clever Crafting Project is the place to bring along your own project, meet others, get some ideas and chill out in a crafting environment.

We will also be having spot prizes, downloading news and events, planning for markets and exhibitions, and so much more.

So what are you waiting for? Be there, starting this Wednesday, 11 February 2009 at 7pm. Bring your project, a friend or two and get ready for great coffee, crafting and community.
